Weymouth Museum
Weymouth’s pop-up museum is home to ten original stories that link to the town’s social, economic, and cultural history. From boat builders and local photographers to 1950s midwives and evacuees, and even the 500,000 American soldiers who called Weymouth their home prior to the D-Day landings. The Museum and its collection of over 20,000 artefacts are managed by The Weymouth Museum Trust, a local charity, run by volunteers on a mission to conserve, share and shout about this historic town. Our pop-up museum showcases highlights from our collection, telling the stories of ordinary, and extraordinary, people who have lived, worked, and played in Weymouth.
