Grove Prison Museum

A small museum showing and explaining about the history of the Her Majesty’s Young Offender Institution (or HMYOI), during its Convict Prison days, Borstal Institute days, Youth Custody and Young Offenders Institute days, with film, snippets of information, photographs and items of interest on show.

  •  Saturdays only, from 10.00am to 2.00pm   
Entry Costs
  • Admission free (but donations are welcomed)
Access
  • Museum entrance is via the porch which is situated on left side of Governors gardens, entering from the Grove Road side (wheel chair access available)
  • Once inside, the museum is on one level with narrow corridors and doorways
